CWS training THIRD level (Instructor: A.Crisi)

The Level 3 workshop focuses on intermediate interpretation and diagnostic meaning of the various indices, percentages, and ratios reviewed and scored during Level 1 and 2 workshops. Interpretation focuses on integration of indices into a client-cantered conceptualization, detailing the client’s functioning in the domains of cognitive abilities, reality testing, available energy, affect regulation, and interpersonal skills. Use of the Wartegg as it relates to the Collaborative/ Therapeutic Assessment practice of Extended Inquiry is further examined. Case studies are utilized to apply knowledge throughout the training sequence.

* Sessions will last 3-hours and 30-minutes long, with a brief break offered at the mid-point of each session. Approximately 2 hours of independent reading and exercises will be completed between sessions.

Learning Objectives for Level 3

By the end of this Level 3, participants will be able to:
• Describe the clinical relationship and interactions between CWS indexes and ratios through presentation and discussion of clinical cases;
• Interpret information provided in the CWS clinical software to develop person-centered understanding of the client assessed;
• Identify the specific CWS indexes and ratios relevant to clinical understanding of client’s functioning in cognitive, affective, and interpersonal domains;
• Identify diagnostic indicators related to anxiety through comparison of CWS case data
(including indices and computations), applying to clinical cases.
• Identify diagnostic indicators related to depressive disorders through comparison of CWS case data (including indices and computations), applying to clinical cases.
• Identify diagnostic indicators related to psychotic disorders through comparison of CWS case data (including indices and computations), applying to clinical cases.
• Identify diagnostic indicators related to trauma and adjustment disorders through comparison of CWS case data (including indices and computations), applying to clinical cases.
• Identify diagnostic indicators related to personality disorders through comparison of CWS case data (including indices and computations), applying to clinical cases.
• Discuss the potential therapeutic value of CWS administration as intervention, using C/TA Extended Inquiry approach to further develop insight and hypotheses;
• Identify themes and content indicators within CWS protocols for use within C/TA Extended Inquiry processes.
• Interpret CWS clinical data, generating answers to collaborative and Therapeutic Assessment questions.

Prerequisite Training

The training is open to mental health professionals and graduate students training to be mental health professionals. Level 3 participants must have completed the WDCT Level 1 and 2 workshops, applicable university-level coursework, or have obtained independent study or consultation from Dr. Crisi or Dr. Palm (US Representative of IIW).

Continuing Education

This workshop qualifies for 16 hours of Type I CE credits for psychologists. Alliant International University is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. Alliant International University maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
Participants will be expected to keep their cameras on throughout the workshop, and in and out times will be recorded by the presenter. In addition, participants will complete an attendance Attestation Statement at the conclusion of the training sequence, attesting to their participation, completion of all required independent learning activities, and verifying attendance. To receive CEs, participants must be present for all instruction, and complete all independent portions of the workshop. CE credits are available for $20, payable at the time of training, or during online registration.

Location

This workshop will be presented online, via an online e-learning platform. Upon registration, detailed information will be sent to participants providing instructions to access learning sessions.

Cancellation Policy

Given the limited space available for participants, registrations will be considered non-refundable on or after April 4th. Prior to April 4th, registration is fully refundable.
