The IIW since 2002 is Consultant for the Armed Forces of Italy and every year organizes specific training on the CWS for the new Psychologist Officers and its use in the Selection proceedings.
ITALIAN NAVY
Sep ‘99 – Mar ’00: Testing of the Wartegg Software for the selection process for admission to the Naval Academy in Livorno. In consequence of the results obtained, the Italian Navy decided to use permanently the Wartegg Test in its own Selection and Careers Guidance proceedings.
Oct ‘03 – Dec ‘04: research activity – named “Global”, aimed at determining the normative data of the sample goup for the ‘Wartegg Selection’ and the ‘Wartegg Orientation’. The research carried out on about 2.300 subjects, of both sexes, has produced a new list of popular responses.
Oct ‘03-Apr ‘04: Verification of the achievement of the fixed aims reached through the Normal Training of Chief Petty Officers and notation of clusters between the expected results and those actually obtained (in co-operation with the Psychology Department of the Sapienza University of Rome).
ITALIAN ARMY
Feb-Jun ‘04: Training in Wartegg test for the National Selection and Recruitment Centre of the Italian Army – Foligno (Perugia).
May 2004: supervision and update on the Wartegg test in Selection and Career counselling for the Psychologist Officers at the Continuous Training Centre of the Italian Army in the War College of Civitavecchia (Roma).
Italian State Police:
Jan ‘05-Oct ‘06: training in psycho diagnostic techniques for Selection and Career counselling for the Psychologist Officers.
THE IIW ON ITS OWN:
Since its foundation the IIW has carried out research on various pathological forms such as autism, deafness, stuttering, gender identity disorders, learning disorders, psychosis, psychotic onset, eating disorders, on mobbing and depression. All research were presented in specific national and international publications (see references).
TRAINING
Since its foundation (1999), the IIW has carried out and continues to carry out a continuous training activity in the psychodiagnostic field aimed at individuals, health facilities or staff operating in the FFAA. Both nationally and internationally. The main ones are listed below.

Since 2002 training activities consisting of annual courses and feed-back and updating activities on the developments of the CWS aimed at Psychologicist Officers and Psychiatrists who work in the context of the Selection.

Since 2004, similar training activities involving the operators of the National Selection and Recruitment Center of the EI in Foligno in prevalent matters but also involving personnel from the Civitavecchia War School, the Cecchignola Center for Forensic Medicine, Rome.

2006: Didactic Training Activity on the Wartegg Test; Italian Air Force: 2009-2010: Training and subsequent supervision in the use of the Wartegg Test according to the CWS for the psychological officers of the Guidonia Selection Center, Rome.
