IIW SOFTWARE

The "Istituto Italiano Wartegg" has elaborated specific softwares for the Wartegg test related to the specific context; for each software a "Basic" and a "Research" version exist. The "Basic" version enables us to obtain, for the specific application field, the relevant personality profile or the attitudinal evaluation; the "Research" version (SRW) is for those whom, beyond the Clinical Selection or Career counselling areas, also work in the field of the psychosocial research; the "SRW" software enables not just the specific assessment of the "Basic" version, but also the building of basic data about all the Wartegg formal indices
Specifically 3 different softwares for each of the following application fields have been developed:

  1. Clinical (SFW-CLI),
  2. Selection (SFW-SEL),
  3. Career counselling (SFW-OSP).
In every software data input can be performed in 3 different ways:
  • mouse (advisable in the analysis of single cases)

  • graphic table or optical reader (both recommended in the numerous cases analysis).

Software for Clinical and Selection use are very similar and are presented together.


A) and B) Software Wartegg CLINICAL and Wartegg SELECTION

These two softwares make an output formed by 3 different evaluations:
Descriptive, Attitudinal and In Categories

1) DESCRIPTIVE EVALUATION.
This represents the most important and peculiar aspect of the Wartegg Test. For each individual the software makes a written report covering 8 different psychological areas: self-evaluation; female object relation; levels of activity; male object relation; aggressive energy; individual relation to reality; sexual energy; capacity for socialization.

2) THE ATTITUDINAL EVALUATION.
The software makes one evaluation of 5 different criteria:
Global Maturity, Emotional Stability, Cognitive Area, Socialization and Adaptability.


3) EVALUATION IN CATEGORIES.
Each individual can be put into a continuum comprised by 5 categories: from AA (= well structured adaptation of individual and social processes) to RR (= indication of a psychopathological condition).

C) WZT CAREERS GUIDANCE Software

This software makes 3 different evaluations in 3 areas:

  1. The Affective-Relational Area includes the main traits of the personality, i.e., the control of emotional reactions, the kind of feelings harboured, the presence of conflicts, the way the person sees himself in relation to others etc;
  2. The Thought Area includes the whole organization of the more cognitive and intellectual processes like reality testing, critical and judgment capacity, thought flexibility, etc.;
  3. The Productivity Area includes, in a quantitative or qualitative sense, the way in which the individual relates to his/her surroundings and acknowledges his/her autonomy. So in this area we find the initiative, constancy etc.

For each area the Wartegg Test software describes the following 19 indexes:

  1. Affective-Relational Area: Self-Control; Self-Esteem; Differentiation of Self; Relationship with Authority; Affective and Emotional Maturity.
  2. Thought Area: (Reality testing; Abstract Thought; Concrete Thought; Attention-Concentration Capacity; Critical and Judgment capacity; Thought Flexibility; Planning Skill; Learning Ability.
  3. Productivity Area: Tolerance to Frustration and Stress; Constancy; Rule Acceptance; Initiative; Ambition; Levels of Activity.
